The Beer Can Residence is a small property in Houston that is covered with all kinds of beer cans(a lot more than 50,000 cans) and memorabilia collected all through the years. Retired upholsterer John Milkovisch started the his beer can property in 1968 by covering his front and backyard with metal pieces, concrete, marbles, rocks and redwood. Then he started adding aluminum siding to his house employing the aluminum from beer cans.

He continued to add to the home for the subsequent 18 years. All parts of the beer cans, which includes the tabs, were used. He produced curtains, mobiles, fences, windmills, wind chimes and sculptures. Milkovisch passed away in the 1980s and the house is now a museum run by the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art.
