This dynamic restaurant, inspired by a traditional Italian trattoria, opened just lately in a purchasing center in Lviv, Ukraine. Finished by YOD Style Studio, Tartufo Trattoria invites visitors to relax and take pleasure in a taste of authentic Italian fare.
“We made a decision to move away from the classical perception of Lviv, and used only materials strongly linked to the city’s spirit,” the architects explained. “Brass, white marble and oak appear to have a present day twist — without decorative carving, monograms or facets.”
The restaurant space is divided into 3 elements: the main hall with an open kitchen and bar, a lobby spot in the meals court, and a seasonal terrace overlooking the city.
Light colors, brass and wood tones create a cozy, welcoming ambiance. Intriguing “spaghetti lamps,” developed by designer Andrey Galushka from oak veneer, descend from the substantial concrete ceiling for an authentic and playful touch.
“The highlight of the establishment is the Stefano Ferrara wood-burning stove manufactured of stone, in which real Italian pizza is baked,” the architects mentioned. What are your ideas on the design and style of this Italian trattoria? [Photography by Andrey Bezuglov]
