This semi-detached house just outside Melbourne, Australia, recently received a modern extension to meet the needs of the owners. Regardless of preparing restraints (which don’t let 2-level buildings), the architects at Jost Architects were able to supply the customers’ requests.
The Malvern House addition includes a master bedroom with en-suite bath and stroll-in closet, 2nd bedroom, workplace, bathroom, laundry space, kitchen with walk-in pantry, and a spacious open-prepare residing and dining region. Principal Patrick Jost described it as “business at the front and celebration at the back.”
“One item that was imperative was the view to the back garden,” Jost said. “The prepare is classic, with rooms accessible from a central corridor major into the rear dining and residing spot, exactly where the ceiling rakes up to a considerable h7”
Sliding doors accomplish an optimum connection with the wooden deck and inner courtyard. The minimalist layout strategy is softened by colorful accents and graphic ar2rk. A selection of finishes and textures also draws interest.
