This 5-bedroom house is an outstanding piece of Scandinavian style, nestled in the Sussex countryside. Built in 1968, it was made by the Danish architect Aage Møller with his wife Carol, a renowned landscape architect. Sometimes we (including myself) get caught up in drooling above the immaculate Mid century residence total of the most unusual and tough to locate ar2rk and design and style. This property feels genuine and trus2rthy, yes there are some excellent pieces inside but the structure feels lovingly lived in.
“Great care was taken by the architects to construct the property from top quality materials. Externally the yellow bricks have been hand made at 2 inches large, the Danish norm, rather than the British 3 inch bricks of the time. The timber Velfac windows are double glazed with integral venetian blinds exactly where suitable. Stained pine boarding completes the Scandinavian aesthetic. Internally there is Junkers Ash flooring throughout collectively with Douglas Fir ceilings to the living areas. Heating is through oil-fired underfloor ducted air.”
