Filled with color, the unconventional “Home in the City” project located in 535 West End Avenue, New York is an open invite to both socializing and entertainment. The generous foyer, kitchen, dining room, living room and family room are designed for hosting functions and fundraisers. On the other side of the home, Studio ST Architects created a large “basement playroom” for the family’s 3 young sons by combining 2 bedrooms. A service entry was made into a mudroom.

Esther Sperber, founder of Studio ST Architects, believes that design is a collaborative process. In order to foster a collaborative design process, the firm created numerous photo realistic computer rendering of each room which enabled a lively dialogue between the architects and clients sparking unexpected creativity.
