Designed by Martin Dulanto in 2014, Casa Maple is a private home with an amazing roof terrace with stunning views. Located in Asia District, Peru, this particular house is a “massive block” which has received several “cuts” (randomly arranged openings) through which we can see what’;s inside: other blocks, this time exposed concrete. The project has been divided into 4 areas: social are, bedroom area, service area, terrace. The social area of the first level has been raised as a single large space that integrates living room and kitchen, making these 3 main perceived larger than they really are. The bedroom area, located in the back of the lot, and clearly separated from the social area, take advantage of openings in the facade as a sort of lattice that allows the user to visually integrate with the outside without risking or losing privacy. The terrace on the second level, is divided into 2 areas: the living area, dining area and grill, and the pool area and sunbathing area. The terrace is purely social and, in order to achieve greater integration of the user with nature, have been raised planters around the perimeter, achieving rails without blocking the view to the horizon.
