The beginning of March in Moscow was marked by Stylish Home – a trade fair for household goods. Especially for you we have selected its best pieces of tableware and items of home décor and would like to show you them accompanied by a professional’s comments. After all, expert opinion is a nice thing, especially when it comes to thematic shows. So, today we’re going to Stylish Home with a Russian interior designer, an architect and a co-founder of FDstudio – Helen Timofeeva. Let’s have a look at the most interesting stands with her!
Helen believes that creating an interior inspired by “Alice in the Wonderland” motifs is a secret or explicit desire of any interior designer. And this brand seems to have collected all the must-haves of it: butterflies, flowers, fantastic arm-chairs and amazing fairy-tale teapots, of course. Wouldn’t it be nice to arrange a separate Alice’s zone, kind of a ruffian nook, within a light classical interior? The pumpkin would surely become its centerpiece!
2. Rudolf Kämpf
Tableware with centuries-old history is worth special attention per se – it catches the eye. The nicest iconic designs of the brand are delicate spring-time notes and tiny Easter Bunnies. And contemporary collections will not leave art-déco admirers indifferent.
3. «Dom Farfora», a multi-brand store of chinaware
The most splendid exhibits of this stand were the new collections of Moser crystal. Incredibly, each of these contemporary-style items is still blown, processed and polished by hand. And, of course, we can’t but mention the top-trend motifs of the year – palms, jungles and rainforests.
4. Decor of Today
This store’s stand was especially trendy and penetrated with spring mood. The best exhibits were magical turquoise pieces and all kinds of splendid cacti.
5. Homefash Trading
Here one could find plenty of tableware and home décor of top quality and complex, saturated colors: marble bathroom accessories, minimalist collection of food storage stuff and beautiful clocks.
6. Le Village
Works of Klaus Haapaniemi, a famous Finnish painter, are seen from afar. They are very tender and fulfilled with nostalgic childhood motifs: fantastic animals, plants and sweet moomin family members.
Beautiful cups and dishes are surely cool, but let’s not forget that before food gets there it has to be prepared. That is why Berghoff’s stand was so popular among the visitors of the exhibition. Besides, no one could pass by a bright orange grill that can refresh any backyard.
8. Bohemia Crystal
Czech crystal is classics, but it can still surprise with its contemporary-style models. Such as these bright multicolor glasses that would be just perfect for daily use.
9. Antares Trade
Its stand was fulfilled with charming daily tableware of several popular brands. The most eye-catchy things were an Easter collection with hens and a set with blue watercolor ornament that combines beautiful design and delicate work.
10. Mayer & Boch
This is not porcelain, but the level of quality is very high – every detail is well-thought-out and each pattern is precisely applied. And what is more important about daily tableware is the high level of functionality. It’s very convenient to be able to carry a whole tea set from one table to another or take it for a picnic, for example. And it’s also neat and tidy in terms of storage.
